2          7/29/2010        WELCOME TO ITALY –LAKE COMO

§         Morning arrival at Milan Airport  

§         Meet your driver and get on the private motor coach for a short drive to the Lake Como area

§         Transfer to your hotel

§         Check in and give yourself some time to rest from the air travel

§         Later on, enjoy a private boat ride to Bellagio, a town whose fascination conquered poets and artists ever since the Renaissance

§         Discover and explore at leisure

§         Evening welcome dinner at a local restaurant

 

3          7/30/2010        LUGANO, SWITZERLAND AND VENICE

§         After breakfast at your hotel, enjoy a brief stop in Lugano, Switzerland. This is the place where Swiss civilization meets the Italian lust for life. The two merge to form one of the most popular tourist districts in Switzerland.

§         Arrive in Venezia/Mestre and check in at hotel

§         Enjoy dinner at Hotel Ai Pini

§         Evening at leisure

 

4          7/31/2010        VENICE

§         After breakfast at the hotel, take a boat ride to St. Mark’s Square.

§         Enjoy Venice at leisure.

§         Suggested leisure stops include the Basilica of St. Mark, the Doge Palace, the Bridge of Sighs, and the Piombi Prison.

§         Optional gondola ride available.

§         Following dinner, enjoy the evening at leisure.

 

5          8/01/2010        FLORENCE

§         After breakfast, depart Venice and enjoy a ride through the Tuscan Region.

§         Check in at hotel.

§         Get ready to explore Florence in the afternoon.

§         Visit Piazzale Michelangelo (Group Photo Opportunity)

§         Enjoy a great dinner experience and get ready to dance at “I Falciani” Restaurant with owner Salvatore.

 

6          8/02/2010        FLORENCE

§         After breakfast, enjoy an escorted tour an escorted tour by a professional Tour Guide from Florence. Visit the Duomo, the Ponte Vecchio, Piazza Delle Signorie, the Baptistry with the Gates of Paradise,” Giotto’s Bell Tower

§         Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

 

7          8/03/2010        ROME

§         After breakfast, morning departure for Rome.

§         Check in at hotel

§         Tonight, experience a taste of the Roman dining scene at a local restaurant.

 

8          8/04/2010        ROME

§         After breakfast, enjoy an escorted, privately guided tour of the Vatican.

§         Afterwards, a drive through the Eternal City will include many highlights, such as the Roman Forum, the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, the Coliseum and others.

§         In the evening, dinner will be served at a local fine restaurant with entertainment.

 

9          8/05/2010        SORRENTO

§         After breakfast, enjoy a drive south to the famous resort town of Sorrento.

§         Check in at Hotel Michelangelo located in the heart of Sorrento city centre.

§         After dinner at “Z’Intonio Restaurant,” enjoy the evening at leisure.

 

10        8/06/2010        SORRENTO

§         After breakfast, you may wish to discover this resort town at leisure or you may want to take an optional boat ride to the Isle of Capri.

§         In the evening, you will be treated to dinner at a fine local restaurant.

 

11        8/07/2010        SICILY

§         After breakfast, leave Sorrento for the trip to Sicily.

§         As we drive south, the Amalfi Coast will come into full view and you will continue to enjoy the scenery during a two-hour stop in the town of Amalfi.

§         The drive to Sicily will take you through the Regions of Campania, Basilicata and Calabria.

§         Continue south through Villa San Giovanni and cross the Messina Strait by ferry-boat. You are now in Sicily.

§         Drive to Furnari and check in at Hotel Hilton Portorosa.

§         Dinner will be served at the hotel.

§         The evening is at leisure.

 

12        8/08/2010        SICILY

§         Breakfast will be served at the hotel, after which we will drive to Mt. Etna for a view of the largest active volcano in Europe.

§         The next stop will be the charming city of Taormina, where you will spend the afternoon at leisure.  

§         In the evening, enjoy a fine dinner at Terrazza Angelo restaurant.

 

13        8/09/2010        SICILY

§         Enjoy breakfast at your hotel.

§         Visit the picturesque fishing village of Cefalu or stay at the hotel and enjoy its beach or its many other amenities.

§         In the evening, bid “arrivederci” to your travel companions and Jim with a “Farewell Dinner.”

 

14        8/10/2010        CATANIA

§         After an early breakfast, drive to Catania for flight departure to New York.

§         Arrive in Rochester the same day

§         Flight schedule to be determined.
