Monday, 08 November

– Departure from USA

  • The pilgrims will depart from Rochester.

 

Tuesday, 09 November

– Arrive in Israel

  • Arrival in Tel Aviv, Drive to Galilee
  • Welcome Mass in Magdala, in the Duc in Altum Church
  • Accommodation either at Pilgerhaus in Tabgha or Casa Nova in Tiberias, where we will be based for five days as we explore Galilee and the neighboring towns.

 

Wednesday, 10 November

Visit Nazareth (Church of the Annunciation, Church of Saint Joseph, Synagogue, Mary’s Well), Cana (Church at Cana) and Sepphoris (archeological site)

  • Morning Mass at the Basilica of the Annunciation
  • Renewal of Marriage Vows in Cana

 

Thursday, 11 November

– The Sea of Galilee and the Surrounding Area

  • Sea of Galilee (Capernaum, Tabgha, and Primacy of Peter) and Kibbutz Ginosar (see first century boat, and boat ride on the Sea of Galilee)
  • Morning Mass at the Church over the House of Peter

 

Friday, 12 November

– Mount of Beatitudes, Jordan River and Bet Shean

  • Mount of Beatitudes, Bethsaida, Caesarea Philippi (Banias) and Tel Dan
  • Morning Mass at the Mount of Beatitudes.

 

Saturday 13 November

– Nain, Mount Tabor, Caesarea Maritima and Megiddo

  • Mount Tabor, Naim, Ceasarea Maritima and Mount Carmel
  • Morning mass at the Church of the Transfiguration.

 

Sunday, 14 November

– Jericho, Qumran, Dead Sea, Jerusalem

  • Morning Mass at the Jordan River
  • Renewal of Baptism Vows at the Jordan River

– Bethlehem and Ein Karem

  • Bethlehem (Church of the Nativity, Church of Saint Catherine, Shepherds’ Field, Herodion) and Ein Karem (Church of the Visitation and Church of Saint John the Baptist)
  • Morning Mass at the Church of St. Catherine.

 

Tuesday, 16 November

– Mount of Olives, Bethany, and the Kidron Valley

  • Mount of Olives (Church of All Nations, Dominus Flevit, Pater Noster Church); Bethany (Tomb of Lazarus, Church of Mary and Martha), City of David (Hezekiah’s Tunnel)
  • Morning at the Garden of Gethsemani
